Not only was yesterday St. Patrick's Day, as well as Rivers' 8 month birthday, but it also was the day that I dropped him off at a sitter's house for the first time. It didn't go great, but I guess it could have been worse. We had gone over to Jennifer's house to meet her and her 1 year old son, Bryce the other weekend. He did good- he played a little and smiled a lot. We were there for about an hour before we left to go to the daffodil field. So back we went yesterday. We got there early so I could get him comfortable before I had to leave for work. I didn't cry when I left, but I was close. Leaving him at home with a sitter is one thing, but having to leave him at a stranger's house was another. He did fine though when I waved good-bye. It wasn't until she wiped his mouth after lunch that he lost it! Apparently, that was just more than he could handle and he melted! Bryce does not like it when babies cry, so then he started crying as well. They were feeding off of each other- probably seeing who could cry the loudest, and poor Jennifer had 2 screaming, crying babies that were inconsolable. This lasted for 45 minutes! But on the flip side, they wore themselves out and both napped for a little over an hour at the same time. So luckily, Jennifer got a little break and some time to calm down! She is brave enough to try it again on Thursday. Hopefully, it will go better for her. Of course, if I don't find a sitter for Monday, Wednesday, Friday then I will have to quit my job and Rivers won't have to worry about being left with anyone. So, that's my sad story from yesterday. Now, here are some pictures to cheer us up! These were taken before going over to Jennifer and Bryce's house!

Many of you know we don't allow Rivers to watch tv. In fact, the tv is rarely on in our house anymore. But Jeremy insists on showing Rivers video clips of drummers just going to town on their sets. And Rivers is fascinated! Here they are watching an amazing drummer doing a little showing off...
