rivers, grammy, and i made our way up north at the end of july. i figured it may be my last chance to visit my old home (which is on the market for sale) and it may be rivers only chance to see where i grew up. i certainly don't expect him to remember the visit, but of course i can now say he's been there and i've got pictures to prove it! ;) this was shortly after his first birthday and he had been doing pretty good with his walking at home, but this trip kind of threw him off. i think being in a new place he wasn't as confident in his walking, so almost everywhere we went he wanted a finger to hold on to.

one thing that i do love about ohio is how very green it is in the summer time. because of all the rain and cool weather the grass and trees are extremely green. i decided to sit rivers down in the back yard and do a little mini photo session.
me: hey rivers, where the heck are we?
him: pondering the question...

me: are we in ohio?
him: i don't know!

then his grandpa got home from a business trip and he was all smiles!

rivers and his grandpa

while visiting i decided i had to take rivers to see the falls in chagrin. he had never seen a waterfall before and i figured when in rome...yada yada yada. we also walked along the path in the park.
