rivers trying to walk jasper ... jasper is reluctant.
seriously, you have no idea how difficult it is to get a picture of rivers and jasper together! if only i had someone dangling a treat over my head, that would at least help keep jasper still.
i put this cute outfit on him and told him i wanted to take his picture. his response? "no!" i took the picture anyway, and as you can see, he wasn't too happy about it. even so, how cute is the little sweater and hat?! our friends, jaime & patrick, gave it to rivers for christmas.
look at my big boy climbing the stairs! he's gotten really good at it within the past few weeks. he knows he needs someone with him to go up or down, but he's getting more and more confident in himself lately. its a little scary! in fact, he was playing with marley one day and she started going upstairs, so he followed her thinking they were playing. jeremy and i were in the kitchen and then suddenly realized he was half way up - scared me to death! he didn't even realize what he was doing, and he just had a big smile on his face, because he was excited to be chasing marley!
this is the best picture i have of rivers and jasper together, looking at the camera. and i actually didn't have someone dangling a treat over my head. again, you can see jasper is, as usual, reluctant to be so close to rivers! poor jasper. he likes rivers okay - like as in - "i guess he can stay." but he's not a huge fan. he learned quickly that babies are not to be trusted. one minute rivers is sharing cheerios with him, the next rivers is stealing his ball and hiding it under the sofa where jasper can't reach it. i can't say i blame jasper.
