the way we were

and i'm back with christmas day continued.  we headed over to my parents house christmas evening (after rivers' nap) and this is what he found when we arrived.  more gifts!  (yes, even i am a little disgusted at how much stuff rivers got!) although, i will point out that all of these gifts were not for him.  they were for a total of 6 people.   needless to say, he was super excited.

he immediately knew this was a gift he wanted to open.  not sure what gave it away?!  oh maybe the obnoxious wrapping paper.  (just kidding - it is cute - he loved it!)

and of course, at this point in the day, he was a professional paper shredder!

and the obligatory family christmas photo 2010.  my goodness, i sure do look tired!  next year i'm going to try to at least shower on christmas and hopefully get a little more sleep!  ;)  i won't do the side by side from 2009 because then i'll just feel older.
