look what the mailman brought!!

that's right friends - its official - jeremy received his masters degree in business administration!!

he thought i had forgotten one of the most noteworthy happenings of summer. i absolutely didn't forget, but this was such a BIG thing that i felt it deserved a post of its own and i wanted a picture to go along with it! jeremy has been working on his master's degree for the past 2 years (along with working full time, being a wonderful husband & father, and playing drums in 1 or 2 bands all the while). all of his hard work & sacrifice has paid off & i am so so so proud of him! he finished up his last course just 2 weeks ago & he hasn't quite been sure what to do with his free time. i have to admit, in the evenings now when he's not doing homework i have to remind myself that he doesn't have any! its kind of strange, but oh so welcome!  i should add though, that i have a "honey do" list that is pretty long - so fear not - he has plenty to do & will not be bored!  =)

so now that jeremy is done with school, he's working on beefing up his resume. he's not sure if he'll stay with rbc bank, or move on to something else. just depends on what kind of opportunities come about! i'll be sure to keep you posted. oh and if anyone knows of any great job opportunities in our area, keep him in mind! ;)

rivers had gone outside to play in the rain and puddles last night. i brought my camera outside, but stayed dry on our front porch (i'll be posting those pics next). i asked jeremy to go get his degree so i could take another picture, as the light is always better outside. here he is playing coy...

he gave in & brought it out for me...

as a side note - after taking these pics, all i could think of was the pink floyd song, 'brick in the wall'
'we don't need no education. hey teachers, leave those kids alone!'
